“Celebrating the Power of Dance”
Performance and Alumni Event, April 25-28, 2013
The Department of Dance and Theatre (DAT) will host an expansive alumni event centered around this years’ Faculty Dance Concert, with works by Shelley Cushman for April 25th-28th, 2013. The concert will not only include current students performing Cushman's choreography; alumni will also be gracing the stage in "celebrating the power of dance," her works and UNT.
The 3-day event will have dance and theatre alumni and past faculty from around the country returning to teach, talk and participate in classes, symposiums and the performances. In addition, we will have a special guest artist/lecturer, Danny Lewis and a benefit gala for dance scholarships. This will be an exciting endeavor that can help UNT remain competitive for dance students and to ensure our place as an abundant source of both the artists and scholars.
